Bruichladdich 13 Year (2011), Dramfool’s Middle Cut

I hate to say it, but for me this was not good. The nose? Alcohol. The Palate? Wow, that’s hot. The finish? Alcohol vapors. Some elements of the bourbon cask came through the heat here and there. As it opened up in the glass, I got some of the Laddie character after a while. Is ‘alcohol bomb’ a thing? The guys at Dramfool are the best, but I fail to see how they thought bottling this was a good idea…
